What's New!

  • January 19, 2010: A contest finished up, for a word describing a key element of dulcimer playing that, I have noticed, many players routinely replace with something else that makes playing harder instead of easier.  When it’s in place, playing not only becomes easier, but all sorts of sound possibilities are effortlessly accessed.  The winner, and the answer(!) will be published shortly.
  • On Monday, Nov. 17, 2009, I was informed that the clips I recorded on the dulcimer for a short documentary film have been embraced by the producer with open arms!  I rendered the composer's wishes, and produced some impromptu music which will also be featured in the film!  Watch this spot for the film's official release date and location.
  • Our guest room now makes it possible to host extended-stay B&B lessons at home!  Click here for info.
  • I'm on YouTube!  Have a listen here.
  • A monograph for diatonic autoharp--and lots of other instruments--about creating variations on a theme.
  • The Ouch page, devoted to musician's injuries for hammered dulcimer and autoharp especially, continues to be updated as more information comes to the fore.  Don't hurt while you play (no pain is the higher gain); get solutions here!
  • Check out the ergonomically friendly hammers in The Marketplace.  Dulcimer hammers always need to be an extension of the player, and so it's important that the handles especially are shaped in a way to encourage this (not all are).  Take a look now.
  • If you're on Shadrach Productions' mailing list (you are from the time you sign up or order something until you move and don't say so, or you die), has YOUR snail address changed?  Update your information here.  And is your e-mail address listed as well?  Or has that e-dress changed?  Help me keep all of these items current so I can stay in touch from time to time.

        My best to you,

                    Lucille
