Weddings

        Thank you very much for sharing your very special gifts with all of us last night.  You gave us deeply needed joy and relaxation.  You are a consummate musicianfull of light!  —Pat Collins and Connor Kindig, New Jersey

        I've been playing weddings since nine days into my dulcimer experience!  I can provide music for all phases of your special day, on dulcimer or diatonic autoharp or both, including:

  • ceremony (in church or on location—the dulcimer is portable to just about anywhere, outdoors in fair-weather months only):
        prelude (usually 15 minutes; any longer and I usually play to an empty hall, but let me know if you expect a crowd sooner than that)
        processional—quiet interludes before or after prayers/vows (optional)
        soloist accompaniment (please mention this at time of booking)
        recessional (exit music for at least the principals' families;
            in addition to the solo dulcimer and autoharp repertoire, see below)
        Note: support instrumentalists are available if you'd like an ensemble.

  • cocktail hour: see the solo dulcimer and autoharp repertoire for selected music

  • reception: anything from elegant dinner music to being part of your contra-dance band!

        I also play recorder (all sizes, works best with any variety of keyboard: piano, harpsichord or organ).
        about wedding music for yourself or a special family member or friend.
